By integrating Leader in Me into daily lesson plans, the students have learned language and ideas regarding the 7-Habits. The teachers in our building spend time relating the chosen district curriculum to the habits, and embed Leader in Me language into each lesson. Teachers have embedded LiM practices within “Second Step” and our “Super Friends” universal expectations, to assist students with their social-emotional development. Franklin sends home monthly family projects that incorporate LiM language, to assist families in their understand of LiM. Teachers naturally embed 7-Habits language within the daily routines and structures throughout the school day. For instance, clean-up time comes with the saying of “Put First Things First.” We encourage “Think Win-Win” when we are problem solving with students during center time. Students also love to “Synergize” and work together to get a task done! Collaboration with staff members occurs informally throughout the entire school years and formally within our Action Teams.
